St. Anthony's Catholic School in Kincardine, Ontario

Our School: St. Anthony's  is a Catholic faith based school where we strive to Learn, Lead and Live the Word. We offer JK to Grade 8 classes in both English and French Immersion streams.  We have approximately 470 students, 22 classrooms, and 58 staff members.  In addition to the mainstream classes we offer regular religion classes, music classes, extra support for math and literacy, and many extracurricular sports and clubs.  Each classroom is equipped with a sound system and smart board.  Additionally, we have classroom sets of Chromebooks for our students to use in school. We also have a large gymnasium and playground for sports, physical activities, outdoor learning, and recess.

Our Partners: We work in coordination with St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, the Early ON Child and Family Centre. and the YMCA of Owen Sound Grey Bruce.  Our school attends mass on a regular basis at St. Anthony's Parish along with annual celebrations of First Communion or Confirmation. The Early ON Centre is based in our building and offers free, high-quality play and learn programs for families and children from birth to 6 years old.   The YMCA  runs a before and after child care service for St. Anthony's students for parents who need to drop off early or pick up late.

Our Community: The town of Kincardine sits on the shore of beautiful Lake Huron in Northwestern Ontario and is built upon Scottish tradition, summer tourism, and the innovation of the nuclear power industry.  St. Anthony's School is located on Russell St. in Kincardine.  The school was built in 1976.  It is just under 3000 sq m in size, and sits on a large 5.9 acre property.  Our busing boundaries reach approximately to Tiverton to the North, Point Clark to the South, and Ripley to the East.
